Kayaverina shifted slightly as she gazed down at the old water hole. She sat high above on a cliff edge, but was in no danger. Her wings were half spread majestically as she gazed at the landscape around her. She was here on a self appointed scout mission. No one had checked along here in many moons and she chose to come here now when she was not on duty somewhere else.
Her pale blue fur seemed like it should have made her stand out but it didn't really. Not out here against the bright blue sky. Her wings however did show visibly against the sky and the were grey and white but they could be passed over as clouds by a lazy scout...provided she kept the rest of herself hidden.
She gazed down at the water again just looking at it and for the first time really wondered about why the clan never came here anymore to drink. It seemed so perfect, so ready, that and in a time of drought, it would not dry out for a much longer period than our other sources of water. Kaya thought to herself.
She sat in a well hidden crevice, but she coul;d see all around her. She streached out her wings and took flight for a few momeents. She swept over the water staying low enough that her right forepaw dragged lazily in the water. Then she shot higher so that she could see all of the out-lieing area. Nothing was within sight even from that great height though.
Kerana flew high about her lion guardian. She simply swept above watching for any signs of danger. She dropped down so that she was level with Kaya "well, I see nothing, you." The bird spoke quietly.
"No, you are right, I see nothing, yet. I think we should stay just a bit longer though, 'k." Kaya said quietly. She landed back in her crevice to continue watching from there.
